Making cookies

Our annual tradition of making sugar cut out cookies. The middle kids cut out all the cookies yesterday morning then in the afternoon  I gave frosting and sprinkles to the older 3 and let them decorate until their hearts were content. *TIP* I had my kids use popsicle sticks to frost the cookies. A* MA *ZING!  My table was covered in lots of sprinkles. In fact bubby spilled an entire jar of sprinkles onto his first cookie. oops! Oh well its all about the memories anyways! May your Christmas be filled with as much joy and peace as there are sprinkles on our cookies! Merry Christmas!

looking at life

Sometimes you just don't get life right. I mean in your own strength it doesn't turn out like you wanted. I was trying to take a picture of  #2 and I and there was just lots of things wrong.         So we tried again. Thinking this time we would get it right. And guess what...we didn't. You see we were blocking the  flash. It was the light needed to take a good picture. I was trying to do it with one hand. It just wasn't working. Yep, I've had days, weeks and months like that. Unitl I deciede to turn the camera upside down. and you know what its a great picture. But its upside down. It made us laugh, and laugh and laugh. Sometimes those are just the best moments. Nothing better than the laughter of a child. Life doesn't always turn out how we pictured it. Sometimes better. Sometimes upside down. But if you let the LIGHT of CHRIST lead then your picture is perfect no matter how it looks. Isaiah 55:8 "For my thoughts are not your...

a silly smile

I love the personality of my little 7 mo old girl. She's funny and content. And I know this is bad but she does this silly little smile that reminds me of Grandpa Munster. See I told you so! God love her! She will probably hate me for this later on in life.

trying not to complain

I have no idea what to name this post. overwhelmed, self pity, what i've been up to ..... I don't even no where to begin. This fall has been so busy. I am taking classes again and the hubs job has ramped up to hyper drive. I feel like we are just hanging by our nails until we get to the holidays and then it will slow down. This week alone we had 2 things on one night and we were tag team parents. We may or may not be applying soon for out early bird special cards with how early we fell asleep recently. With an 8 pm bed time the Florida Senior Citizen police are coming to take us out of Ohio and put us where we belong. The hubs hasn't made it home before 7 most nights this week and he leaves for work at 6:15 am. I shouldn't complain, but I am not a good parent when I feel like I am running the ship by myself. I joke about being a work widow. I don't like it and may harbor some resentment towards the hubs and his boss. I joke about having dust bunnies as pets...

Its been a long semester with school but in just a few days it will be over and I can catch up on my blogging. I can't believe how long its been...my fans have missed me. I apologize! Here are some pictures that I thought I would share. pooh bear's day started with dressing up at school with her friends sent the hubs to get candy and this is all he can find....death for our son and a large bag of skittles...i wasn't giving those out so that I could exchange his candy o'death for some things he could have the week before it had been in the 80's. but for Halloween rainy and COLD so bundle up baby! layer #1 layer #2 and the final layer. she had originally wore a flimsy super girl costume to her school party, but I talked her into a cozier outfit for this yucky night layer #1 layer #2....with the patented mark head tilt layer #1 and I am not sure where the picture of layer #2 was but believe me she had it on my Clearanc...
