Introducing...

So its true she's finished Kindergarten with flying colors! She loved her teacher and she's off to first grade in the fall. She was so excited for her last day. And yes if you look back she's wearing the same outfit! She really wasn't that sad about leaving her teacher, because we have the opportunity to see her several times this summer. She just gets to say "See you in a few weeks!" Hopefully I will handle my big first grader better than I did my kindergartener { The first day saga }! Have a great day! Jen

Kindergarten graduation

Yes, its true a whole year has gone by. Child #1 has done great and loved her teacher. Its a far cry from the freak out  I had at the beginning of the year. Congrats to my little baby! Her class and another K class. Happy kindergarten graduates Giving Mrs. Clouse a great big hug aftergetting  her certificate

Lock her up and throw away the key

It is kindergarten people, kindergarten ! In the recent weeks child #1 has gotten a note from a boy with the words "I {heart} you" and another boy just gave her a purple hair bow he found {gag} because she is his friend. Really, she's 5. We are going to have to lock this one up and throw away the key. Can't wait until she's 16 people and we have boys calling her...NRA anyone? I am glad she is friendly and sweet to these kids. And in my biased opinion she is adorable. Whoa boy its going to be a long ride! Oh and just in case G's mom is reading this she also has a #2 groom picked out just in case G, her #1, doesn't work out. And she refers to them as #1 and #2 in convo not just mom code here! On other wedding notes, her uncle Bobo is getting married and her direct quote was, "Finally, I have been waiting for this the whole live long year!" "Mom, I wonder who they are going to choose (pointing at herself)?" Choose for what? "You know...

The wheels on the bus...{updated}

Well tomorrow is the BIG day! #1 goes to Kindergarten! I hope mom is ready. She wanted to practice the last few days going to the bus stop. So there we've sat all stalker style watching the other kids get on so that my little planner would know just what to do when it was her turn. The first day we did it I was absolutely sick to my stomach. Not the pukies just the realization that my little girl was getting on the bus! AHHHH ! Fortunately the hubs took tomorrow off so I will have a) support by my lovin' man or b) someone who will tell me to get over it she's 5 now and that's that! Maybe a swift kick isn't so bad? Enjoy your first day little monkey! And the answer was B! DING DING! yep he totally made fun of me for getting all sentimental! For all those who got it right...well there are no prizes just the self satisfaction in knowing you all know my hubs well! Congrats to all the wonderful winners!

Monkey and me {our day out}

So on Friday she met her teacher at open house. Of course her shyness kicked into full gear and she didn't even speak to her. Not even when the teacher showed child #1 her wand. She just smiled. Soon though she won't get her to stay quiet. Then she and I headed to Kenneth's hair salon for her first salon-non-cookie-cutter-haircut. A plus was that my hairdresser has curly hair and can cut it accordingly {sounds like a great line to sell the hubs with dontcha think}. So while we were waiting in the lobby I told her she could look at a magazine. Do you know which one she picked? The bridal one. Yep her eyes just lit up! She oooh and ahhed over the dresses especially the big-full-ball-gown-take out-a-second-mortgage-to-pay-for-type-dresses. At that moment I had to laugh. We are in serious trouble. And so is her prince charming! She did a great job especially letting Katherine wash her hair since she doesn't even let me do that with a big fight {don't get into my eyes ...

Keepin' busy chasing the cheerio gang!

My life is very simple these days: change a diaper (most likely 2), feed a child (definitely 3), change an outfit (yep that would be mine because someones jelly hands just gave me a hug), being a referee to one or 3 children's fighting over the same toy (sigh) and keep said children from climbing on or in things. {THEN REPEAT UNTIL BEDTIME} Little man has quite a few tricks that is earning him his nickname (climbing up the slide sideways, on to step stools, etc) That being said my little man aka the mountain goat is keeping me B.U.S.Y. His new favorite thing is to climb into the warming drawer on my stove. {SIGH} And he's as happy as can be. Too bad he can also pull open the oven door. Pooh Bear loves her sissy's Belle barbie doll this {insert great big bear squeeze here} much! Don'tcha wanna just squeeze those cheeks? There's my soon to be kindergartner. Isn't she adorable?! Look at little man playing t-ball. He was very intent on putting the ball back up...
