Oh my sweet and silly girls! So Aunt Jill got #2 this for Christmas. Its as tall as me. It fits comfortably 2 kid size chairs. They have been working hard on coloring (pic is the before). Although little man uses the window as his entrance/exit instead of the 2 doors. The two men I love!

A few funny moments this week

So I'd thought I'd share some funny things my kids have been saying this week: Little man just randomly says " Ka -Chow" (Cars) with an arm movement straight up in the air. FUNNY ! He also says "Fire" when he sees a picture of an ant. (may need to see a previous post on the some " Fire Ants" to understand this one) Child #1 was talking about her Safety class she took over the summer and told me about the jail bracelets (handcuffs) that she got to hold. I asked the kids if they wanted another brother or sister and #1 promptly spoke up and said "Mom I think God just promised you 3 kids not 4 or 5 just 3!" Okee - dokie #2 counts 1, 2, 5. If you ask her how many of something she wants she says 1-2-5 (real fast). I asked the kids the other day if they wanted ketchup with her nuggets. #2 replied "Yes mom I would like some nuggets with my ' cheppie '." REEEEALY ?!

nothing to do?

Well the flu bug has it our kids this week. YUCK. Since around 2 am Thursday until today (Sunday) our washer/dryer has been kicked into OT. Daddy was playing with the little ones today upstairs and I had quarantined child #1 it the basement. I didn't want the babies to get this bug again. So while she laid on my lap quietly watching movies I changed the background of my blog. Whatcha think? I am still working but somewhat pleased. Have a safe and healthy week my friends!

1/6 of the way through the challenge...errr...day 5

Ephesians 4:29 "Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification that it may impart grace to the hearers." Build him up. Let his relatives and your relatives know that you love him, respect him and support him-in spite of his flaws. Today he and I discussed what prayer I could be praying: keep his head up with integrity and confidence or keep his head down to dodge the "bullets" of Quick Draw McGraw. He decided that a head down approach was much better. Ephesians 6:10-11 *I am loving this challenge.

day 4

"Let him labor, working with his hands what is good" Ephesians 4:28 Do you "dump" on him at the end of a work day or do you encourage him with your words. Let him know that you appreciate that he is a hard worker. Today Mark had a rough day at work. Not only was it the fact that he had just come back from vacay but "Quick draw McGraw" is making things very uneasy. These words could not have come at a better time. I can't fix anything for him but I can have a hot meal and some encouraging words for him after his day.

Day 3

Love suffers long and is kind. 1 Corinthians 13:4 Let him know that you've the things he's done for you and your family. Today I've thanked him for fixing the tile in the shower-his most despised job.

Day 2

" Through love serve one another." Galatians 5:13b My husband is definitely a server. I just don't thank him enough for all the things he does for me and the kids. The one thing I thanked him for today was reaching all those items in the top cabinets that I can't reach with a stepstool. Simple but much appreciated!

day 1 of 30 day challenge

Proverbs 31:11-12 "The heart of her husband safely trusts her; so he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life." Say something that you admire or appreciate about your husband...to your husband...and to someone else about you husband! Thank your husband for choosing you above ALL other women. Let him know that he can trust you to be in his corner. Let's be honest I can be a bit snarky or sarcastic. I was recently challenged to speak to my children as if I am speaking to my neighbor kids. Do I use that voice with my hubs? So today I thanked him for being handy. Its going to take some effort people but its going to be worth it. Within the last 3 months I have been reading 1 Kings. The one thing that popped out at me was 1 Kings 3:9 " So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?" Why did it strike my heart. I t...
