A busy weekend...

This weekend was crazy busy. The  older girls had meet the teacher on Friday and #1 had a dance performance at 3 services at our church this weekend. She performed her recital song. The dance group also taught a worship dance to the children church kids and also their specific dances. Needless to say she was exhausted! Although it was jam packed the hubs and I found sometime to sneak in a date. We also spent sometime at a park with the kids. mini golf and dinner!

pure joy

"It's not that my standards are too high, it's just that my daddy set an amazing example for how you should treat me."   This is a quote I recently read on Pintrest. I thought how perfect to showcase the Father Daughter Dance. Someday I pray that when our girls are looking for husbands that they use their dad as a measuring stick. Having the opportunity to go out to a dance is setting the stage. Our dance studio sponsored the dance at our church once again. Both older girls got to be daddy's date this year. Fancy hair and fancy dresses and perfect time with our daddy. The joy on their faces was priceless. The joy in my heart is with out words. love priceless dancing with our friend, "Bert" daddy dancing with one in his arms and one on his side....amazing! Join us this week celebrating the Cheerio gang!

on the dance floor

This is from the wedding my girls were flower girls in September. This is the pictures the hubs took from his phone of the kids on the dance floor. #1 got her papa to dance (to Michael Jackson). Hope he doesn't get in trouble...isn't this against Nazarene rules? Little man thought the bridesmaids were cute. So he found himself most of the night  in the middle of them dancing away.

daddy daughter dance

The dance studio we attend had a fundraiser at our church. A daddy-daughter dance. It was Friday night. She was able to go on a double date with her best friend and her dad. She got all dressed up in a super spinny fancy dress. She asked me to get he hair all fancied up...she was so excited! It was only 2 hours but it when she came home she was all smiles. She said her favorite part was her daddy spinning her. And he even got all dressed up and got a "morsage" for her. I am pretty sure she will remember this for a life time!

Just one more year

My girls love to dance! They dance everywhere: the grocery store, outside and throughout the house. When child #1 turned 2 she began asking when she could take dance class. I told her when she was 3 we would enroll her. We found a studio that was close by and had pre-dance classes. It was a 1 hour class (20 minutes of tap, ballet, and tumbling). She took 2 years of pre-dance and 1 year of tap. It was great and we had teachers who chose appropriate music and recital outfits. BUT as I was sitting there last year with my 2 other children once a week, we would hear the questionable music and see the questionable outfit choices. I mean one song we heard OVER AND OVER again was "big coconuts" and they weren't talking about the food. {CLEARING THROAT!} And these were 9 year old girls in barely there outfits grooving to this music. We've had great outfit choices so far but I knew that this was our future. I was not pleased! Not for my girls who would be paraded in these cho...
