"She nailed it"

No matter what my day looks like my kids can make me laugh. I went to get Pooh bear out of her crib and asked her if she slept well. She said "I snored {insert obnoxious sound}. Just like Papa." Pooh Bear "See my doggie {a stuffed brown and white dog} Cinnamon Roll. He's Mia's beft friend. Mia from Bible study" Child #1 and I DVR'd the royal wedding of Wills and Kate. The 2 parts she couldn't wait to see: the dress and the kiss. After seeing the dress and hearing some of the commentary from Clinton Kelly she agreed "she nailed it. She nailed the dress." Little man: going to sleep the other night I heard him saying " I lub mommy, I lob daddy, I lob Aubie, I lob Jocie, I lob mimi, I lob papa, I lob CARS, I lob Elmo, I lob blankie {repeat 1, 458 times until he falls asleep}

Easter Wedding

This last weekend I went home to my parent's home with my circus in tow. We had several reasons for going home. First and foremost it was the celebration of the reserection of Jesus Christ. The second reason was my grandpa found out last Wednesday he has cancer throughout his body. He broke his arm on Tuesday and they will not be able to do anything to help heal him, just pain management. We wanted to see him before he went home. And our third reason was my brother, Uncle BoBo, decided to get married to his fiance. They planned a  wedding that was supposed to happen in December in just a few days. Big Papa, and my dad Papa and some of the grand kids and great grand kids Aunt Lindsey and Uncle BoBo Sitting down to their first meal as a married couple Cutting the cake My husband and brother in law ran to the local store to get a few supplies : TP, soap, frosting, string and dog bones. what I want to be when I grow up...by child #1

So the other day I asked child #1 what she wants to be when she grows up. She answered without hesitation and with the utmost confidence, "A PRINCESS". So trying not to burst her bubble, what if the princess thing doesn't work out? I mean what if you don't marry a prince? Thinking only for a moment, "I guess I will have to be a mom then." Is this a case of 2nd place is 1st loser?

Crafting at naptime

I had an itch to do some crafting. As you know I like to plan out our meals a week ahead of time, but recently I've been frustrated with the process.  I decided to  make a dry erase board to post our menu....accountability and organization! So I found a old frame that was painted navy blue and had a "teachery" poem {from my teaching days} placed inside it. Probably from a student with love!                                                                                                 I knew I had some esp...
