A 30 day challenge

I know I know everyone is taking lots of challenges and making resolutions that they may or may not be able to keep. My hubs has been working on a much needed cleanse of the den. He came to me with a pile {ugh} to go through. I found this 30 day challenge that I am thinking can't hurt. I have no idea where it came from or how I got it but its definitely from my pile of stuff. A challenge for a wife to encourage her husband more. 30 days of reading scripture and encouraging her helpmate more. Right shouldn't be too bad. So the first day says something like don't say anything negative to or about you hubs to anyone for the next 30 days. I failed within the first 5 minutes. So tomorrow is my start date and I will try and post somethings for you. Its gonna be interesting. http://www.reviveourhearts.com/challenge/

Merry Christmas from ther Chreerio Gang!

Little man

Just so he doesn't feel left out I have some pics of him I took today. Today his only saving grace was that he's cute otherwise he's earned his 4 star general status in Grumpyland leaving his Capt. Grumpypants behind.

Baby Bjorn

So you know what I talking about right? A baby carrier so that mom or dad can have the baby close to them but be hands free. Well #2 has come up with her own unique way.... WAIT FOR IT... She is wearing her poodle outfit (sometimes her jamies, too) and asks me to stuff the baby Jen (with the dust rag aka blankee) in it so she can push another baby in a stroller or read or do whatever hands free. She's been carrying baby Jen around for 3 solid weeks now she needs her hands free. Oh yes, until recently all her babies/animals were named Jen but now this doll is the only one who bears the name. I feel so honored. She's 2 1/2 and this creative can't wait to see what God has in store for her.

toothless wonder

Sorry I forgot to add pics to the last post! So this is where the tooth was... And this is the big tooth coming in directly behind it..no hole for you! PS what does the "Tooth fairy" do with the teeth?? I am kinda grossed out.

Tooth Fairy

Well last week we had a visit from the tooth fairy. #1's tooth has been quite wiggly for some time. She would only wiggle with her tongue. She wouldn't touch it or let anyone else. We knew it was coming to the end of its life span when the tooth behind it was coming in rapidly. Well at exactly 3:40 am (yes the middle of the night people) she woke me to tell me her tooth had fallen out. NO blood, NO pain...yea for her. But the questions are how in the world did she not swallow it and why was she playing in the middle of the night with it? At that time of day/night/delirium I was lucky to form thoughts and words. I told her the tooth fairy would not be coming she had already passed our house and that if she went back to sleep she could call her mimis and papas in the (later) am. PS I don't think she went back to sleep because at 6:15 she hopped right out of bed. I held her off until 7 o'clock ish to start calling people. She was so excited to go to sleep that night with h...

Its red hot

Well the cookie elves have landed in our house. Child #1 and I needed to make sugar cut out cookies this week. I let her pick out the shapes (Santa, snowmen, trees, hearts, and stars) and the colors for the frosting. Nothing says Merry Christmas like green, red and purple! I got a phone call while we were decorating, but I let her keep about her merry little elf way because she's done this before and she's a pro right. Well typically sprinkles are our only extras but this year I added red hots to the decorations. And she usually exceeds the limit on sprinkle to cookie ratio. PEOPLE THERE ARE 20-30 RED HOTS ON SOME OF THOSE COOKIES! What is the legal limit on red hots {of which she does not like}? Some have sprinkles and red hots. SOMEONE IS GOING TO OD HERE AND ITS NOT GOING TO BE PRETTY! There was even a cookie or two I couldn't get off the counter top because I didn't know where the counter top ended and the cookie began. She was way over her limit of frosting to...

The first snowfall

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! We had some snow the other day and the babies were excited. I was able to scrape up just enough off of the deck into a container for each of them to explore. And because I was a former teacher I couldn't let this moment go by with out learning a thing or two about snow. Child #2 and I discussed what we learned about snow. Snow is wet, is cold, taste icy, looks white, is soft, don't know where it comes from, I want to eat it and is fun. Little man had this to say about snow: "Gjlglfsldflsdflsdfljlsf" and "meere pweese" and "plashy"
