CHEERIO GANG: little man

Here this week's cheerio gang highlight. My little man. Nothing cuter than this blue eyed, blond little guy! He drives me nuts. He is going through a testing his boundaries stage...well its lasted about 3 years. He's the driving force in the Cheerio Gang posts. If I don't intentionally seek out the good and funny and sweet and silly things I'll only remember the day to day grind. I will not be Eeyore! So here's a few pictures from this week of my Little Man! And for the future if you ever look at this  and read some of mommy's crazy ramblings, I LOVE YOU! just being a boy! with 3 sisters that's a good thing to be off by yourself with some cars He was supposed to be in time out....he thought time out needed a little cushion. Can he be anymore proud of himself? Now you can steal the button and become part of the cheerio gang, too!

all the cool kids are doing it

That isn't the reason I designed a button. But I do feel cool for doing it. I just googled it from this website.  Easy peasy! The real reason is I've been in a funky place recently. Just feeling a little negative Nellie. I am being dragged down by the winter every day to day yucks. My grumpies were grumpy. My exhaustion was exhausted. So I needed a way to lift my head. God brought me to Psalm 8:2. "Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger." So to silence the foe I am going to celebrate my children. You are welcome to join me. Each week I will have a link so that you can post too {or share in the comments}. Let's encourage one another about what those crazy kids are doing that make you smile. Is it the art work, the outfit choice or just a funny saying? Let's share!  So let's begin with a picture of #2...who has such a sense of style that cracks me u...

Puff dealer...choose wisely

Sometimes you just want a puff/cheerio and you let the world know it....     A brother or sister is good to have around as a puff/cheerio dealer...even when they steal 1 or 2 everytime you get one     sometimes its hard to decide who gets to be your puff dealer...   And other times its good to be picky!

Bert turns 40.

Yes, Bert turned 40 last week. Ernie is still younger. Did you know that? Not really but our dear friend turned 40. A number of years ago we started calling he and my husband Bert and Ernie. Maybe because they have the same name, or maybe because of the hair ...umm....never the less it helps us distinguish the two men. These friends are our vacation partners in crime . We've gone on vacations as couples and as families. You see their youngest is just a few months older than our oldest daughter. THE GIRLS ARE BEST FRIENDS. Which works out perfectly for us. Its been 13 years of friendship.  A beautiful 13 years. They've seen us through our engagement, marriage, a miscarriage, a move, and 4 babies. We've seen them through 3 kids, bed rest, an adoption, following God's path when it doesn't seem so easy and now a move. Bert and his wife had a party at a local restaurant and they invited 3 other couples. Couples that have meant so much to their lives. Couples who have...

Cake pop fail #2

Child #1 really wanted a cake pop maker for Christmas. So my mom found her the silicone molds "As seen on TV" kind. I thought it would be a great thing to do when her friend was over the other day, but remember this . Yep, cake pop fail! The pop mold has only 8 holes. and about a tsp of batter in each hole and 15 minutes to cook and another 15 to cool before you can pop them out....ahhhhhh! its a long time and I still haven't used up all the batter! I gave the children melted chocolate chips and sprinkles and this is what happened. No words just pictures!

Christmas and family

We had a great Christmas and lots of fun with the family.  Here are some random pics from the week of fun!
