potty training and 7 mo preggers....who's idea was this???

Little man told me last week that he didn't want to wear his diapers anymore. SOOOO at 7 months pregnant I am beginning the process.....a very SLOOOOOOW process.  Yes, I would like to have him out of diapers before baby comes. Yes I potty trained child #1 while I was 8 mo preggers with pooh bear. But that was a loooong time ago and I had a lot more energy back then. Suddenly I sound so old?! So we tried and he's had a few flukes and made some progress. But he just isn't getting it YET. So I will be patient and keep cleaning up the accidents in the meantime. Pooh bear has been such and encouragement to him (and me). This is what I came into this morning  when I went to get new/clean supplies. She's reading him a story while on the potty. How C.U.T.E! Yes, she's not wearing any pants. She's going through an addiction to stripey pants. They've been dirty all week and in protest she decided since I would NOT let her wear dirty clothes she wasn't goi...

PIE day~January 23

Yes, according to our calendar, January 23 is national pie day. So the kids and I had to make pies for dessert. I got a mini pie maker for Christmas {thanks mom} and have used it several times to make sweet pies {haven't delved into the savory ones yet}. And I will also be celebrating PI day March 14 as well....my hubs is one lucky man! Cherry pies Little man decided this one needed to be tasted before dinner!

The Simple Woman's Daybook

Let's be honest its been a long time since I've really posted anything...I just need to get back in the habit. I miss posting. Its kinda cathartic. Outside my window...sunshine and melting snow. Its OHIO in January and its supposed to be 50 degrees. I am thinking...about spending time with family. Its been a month since we've hung out with my mom and dad. The kids are SO excited! I am thankful...my good eaters. Even though I have to adjust the meals due to allergies, they eat lots of fruit and veggies! From the kitchen...homemade bread I am wearing...maternity jeans and purple top I am wondering...if I am going to get my devotional written for next Thursday I am blessed...to have a hardworking husband and a patient hubs when I haven't been feeling so good with this pregnancy. I am hearing...the little kids making a joyful noise From around the house...clutter, Christmas decorations and toys! A favorite thing...a HOT cup of coffee A verse...Psalm 7...

Happy New Year

Were you sad that the year was ending? Or did you find a way to celebrate all the exciting things God has in store for 2012? Hanging out with our friends on New Year's day. What a wonderful way to start a new year!

Kingdom of Bounce

we tried to do things over break {while daddy was home for 2 weeks} that we'd normally not do...sometimes I got pictues sometimes I forgot. We took the kids out for breakfast one morning to Krispy Kreme donuts. Hot and fresh. The kids enjoyed watching the donuts come off the conveyer belt. We also took the kids bowling. I WON! Brennan was the winner of the little kids. The thing I did get pics of was the bounce house. 5 large inflatables and quite the free for all. Lots of parents had the same idea on this rainy December day. we thought we'd have to pull the kids away after 1 1/2 hours but after an hour they could barely stand they were so TIRED! Mission accomplished! Your guess is as good as mine on which child this is....maybe little man zipping down the slide

Merry Christmas

I hope you had a Merry Christmas and enjoyed all the sweet things life gave you this year!
