losing focus

Here's an updated photo of my family of SIX. I'll be honest its a bit crazy around here. A friend described it as a party all the time. Well a party with mounds of laundry and dirty dishes and lots and lots of toys! But God is good and providing us with many blessings. This was the best of three pics. Sometimes it takes more than one chance to get it right but I still don't get it right. It's a good thing our God is a god of forgiveness, grace and mercy.  He gives a strength each day to try  again...not to do it on our own but on complete dependence to HIM. Recently, I've been struggling with wanting to be liked by a certain group of people. I see their photos on facebook or hear about their adventures and I feel left out, dejected. Why am I not good enough to hang out with them too? Why do I care I'm almost 36 years old and not in JR High anymore. But when I get in an attitude or take my eyes of the ONE WHO CREATED ME I become self centered. Its not...

recital

well we made it through a great year of dance. we moved to a new dance studio this year (see post here)   its been great. its been a time that the girls have learned a lot. Lots of new friends, Bible verses, and lots of new skills. The recital was last Sunday evening. 2 1/2 hours of Christian music, appropriate dance moves and appropriate outfits. It was a beautiful time of worshipping our Lord. I am so glad that we decided to move.

Mimi and Papa time

This weekend the girls had their recital. So my parents came down to watch the girls perform. I had a great project for my mom and the kids to do during some down time. Because I have learned for the great sprinkle fiasco's of the past I decided to let my mom do this dessert. Bwhaahaa! Recently we had a wonderful smores like dessert that I thought for sure that my kids would be able to create. Graham crackers, marshmallow fluff, melted chocolates and sprinkles. The kids took turns spreading the fluff on the quartered crackers, then dipping the graham sandwiches into melted chocolate and then into sprinkles. Easy peasy!

Her story...

All my other 3 babies were born early~5, 10 and 12 days so I anticipated having #4 about 2 weeks early. Well I was still pregnant at 38 weeks, 39 and even 40 weeks. I went to the doctor on my due date. Hoping that he would say that he would go ahead and induce me. I had progressively moved along  each week I saw him, but week 40 I had made no progress. In fact he gave me the news that if he induced me it would most likely result in an unnecessary C-section. It was Tuesday and he said he would like to see me again on Thursday for an ultrasound and a quick check. I made it out of the doctor's office with out any major hysterics but as soon as I got to the car and called the hubs it was a super duper meltdown. I was disappointed, frustrated, scared, tired and as many Eeyore adjectives you can stick on there....I was feeling it. I knew I had to trust in the Lord's sovereignty and I trusted the wisdom of my doctor. My doctor is strong in his faith. So I knew he was doing what...
