The hubs and I were having a bit of a disagreement. It was ongoing from February. He doesn't argue. It takes him a little more time to process what I've already thought through so I can't come with all my guns a blazing. I have to be careful about how I approach something we don't see eye to eye on...especially if I want to win or at least think that I am right. Almost twelve years of marriage and he still hasn't learned that his wife is ALWAYS right!
This time I took a much softer approach...prayer. I am trying to be a better wife and taking the approach that the hubs is the head of our marriage. BUT sometimes I know that I am right and just want him to come around to my point of view. So being the dutiful wife I stopped talking about the issue to him and spoke to God about it for 2 weeks. Then I mentioned to him that I would like to revisit the subject. but that's all I said.
My human nature wanted to list all the reasons I was right and why I thought he was wrong and being a little scrooge mcduck. I actually showed restraint~which had to be a special gift from God. I don't always show restraint especially when I know that I am right. So I let it go and just left it up to God.
Then 3 days later he mentioned it to me and wanted to know my reasons. And without saying that I was right~he said I was right. to go ahead.
I was so excited for that God moment. Yes God had provided this moment to teach me a lesson of trusting and being submissive. When I gave up trying to be right or arguing God provided the open door.
PS do you see how short my hair is...I got 11 inches taken off (one pound of hair) and I donated it to Pantene Beautiful Lengths for cancer patients. My nephew is a cancer survivor and I wanted to do to honor his fight.
