Lately that's how I've been feeling...like I am herding cats...er...my children. They are great kids but they all seem to want to go separate ways at the same time. Because the kids and I have been sooooooo busy and my hubs has been working a lot it was nice recently to get a few minutes of quiet time as a family. We had no plans but filled a day with no phones and no deadlines and no dance class or swimming lessons or the stuff of life. We just spent the day together.....taking it in and enjoying the togetherness.
So as an update to the child #2 potty training fiasco....we've had success! She was sitting last week on the potty when she asked her sister to come in. Needless to say there was a moment of up close and personal demonstration that went on and then KERPLOP #2 did #1. And this week has been a week of a few more hits than misses. Which is exciting because the amount of $$ that goes out in diapers for 2 babies is not pretty people.
I have been so busy lately. I have been given the opportunity to be a leader at the Community Bible Study we've been attending. I am learning LOTS from not only the study but God is speaking to me again in some strange dreams. Usually they make NO sense but I just write them down anyways, kinda like some of the Old Testament prophets we're studying now. The babies enjoy going to see their friends 2 times a week which always makes it easier on mama!
Here are two verses that have been swirling around in my brain lately.....
Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God..."
Psalm 42:1 "As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you God."
